10 Anniversary Wedding Vows Renewal - Las Vegas 2004

In celebration of their 10th anniversary, Shari and David Forvendel of Cary, NC, renewed marriage vows on Monday, April 26, 2004, at Cupid's Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ceremony was officiated by Elvis, (a.k.a. The King of Rock-n-Roll).

The bride was escorted down the aisle by Elvis (guitar in hand) as he sang "Can't Help Falling in Love with You".

The couple exchanged vows. David promised Shari to be "all shook-up and love you tender 'cause I'm stuck on you".  He promised to not be cruel, to not have suspicious minds and to be her hunka hunka burning love, if she'd be his little good luck charm.  Shari promised to "never treat you wrong; love you, Daddy, all night long; to be your teddy bear, to wear your ring around my neck, if you treat me nice; You'll be always on my mind because you're my Tigerman".

The king then performed "A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action", a selection chosen (obviously) by the groom.

Rings were exchanged.  With the rings, David, the big boss man, promised to take this little sister to be his rubberneckin' babe; to never make her moody blue and make every night such a night.  Shari promised to take David to be her hunka hunka burning love; to be her King Creole; to never give him the GI blues and to always be his latest flame.

The couple were pronounced (still) husband and wife by Elvis, with the power vested in him as "the King of the whole wide world in the states of Tennessee and Nevada".

The ceremony was concluded by a performance of "Viva Las Vegas", during which the guests, as well as the happy couple, were invited to dance.

The bride wore a Spencer Alexis dress with a pair of really great shoes she found on sale.  The groom was coerced into wearing a shirt and tie and his "good" shoes.

The bride was accompanied to Las Vegas by her father, Harold Lanier and his companion, Ms. Dora Miller, both of Greensboro, NC.  The groom was accompanied by his mother, Janet Forvendel of Greenville, NC, and his sister and brother-in-law, Val and Andy Wilson of Raleigh.

A great time was had by all !
